Arpan is a program of UHDP dedicated to empowering people with disabilities and underprivileged communities by creating opportunities for dignified work and sustainable livelihoods.
Arpan is a program of UHDP dedicated to empowering people with disabilities and individuals from vulnerable and underprivileged backgrounds. Through Arpan, we aim to create opportunities for them to work with dignity and build sustainable livelihoods.
As part of this initiative, a digital platform will be developed where people with disabilities and other vulnerable individuals can contribute their skills and craftsmanship. Their products—such as traditional and locally made items—will be marketed and sold through this platform. The artisans will receive fair payments directly for their work, ensuring they can support themselves with dignity.
At the same time, a portion of the profits generated from these sales will be used to support patients in need, particularly those requiring urgent medical care. In this way, Arpan not only creates employment opportunities but also builds a cycle of compassion, where work, dignity, and social support come together to create lasting impact.
